Mirae Asset’s new website has one goal: to help internal wholesalers build and maintain contacts to financial advisors.
This project benefited from mediaman’s experience creating smart user experiences for the financial industry; with easy to use and effective tools for contact generation and storytelling, which convinces more advisors of Mirae Asset’s capabilities.
The new website supports the South Korea based company in establishing itself as the expert for Emerging Markets in the USA. The site not only generates new leads but also delivers conversation starters for wholesalers, helping them to build and maintain relationships with financial advisors.
Task and Goals
Financial strategist and Wall Street veteran, Eric Alexander, played an important role in shaping project goals. He joined the mediaman team in interviewing financial advisors, RIAs, as well as Mirae Asset management and wholesalers. The goal: identify insights and define a clear project strategy.
The interviews revealed how digital could support the company’s wholesalers in conveying Mirae Asset’s Emerging Markets capabilities and investment strategies to financial advisors. In order for advisors to recommend Mirae Asset funds to their clients, they themselves must first be convinced.
The key messages are:

Separate sections for advisors and institutional investors further simplify usage paths.
An IP lookup tools serves prospects the right wholesaler contact for their region, initiating personal dialogue with having to conduct a wholesaler search.
The US website is successfully supporting the Mirae Wholesalers. mediaman is now rolling-out refreshed sites for Mirae Asset Europe and Hong-Kong.
